Jacques ORTET

Creator / Author / Engineer

The creator of the comic book series about the adventures of Jak and Bil

My dear friend,

My name is Jacques Ortet and I am the author, to date, of 5 comic strips.

The site you are about to explore introduces you to the adventures of Jak and Bil, Jak, a globe-trotting adventurer and his friend Bil, a talking bird.

These stories are partly true and partly fictional and, in addition to their captivating dynamism, they include an introduction to the culture of the countries where they travel. A third element, no less important, is the debate on popular topics such as energy and its transition.

These books are developed by an international team of artists and supporters.

Welcome to the exciting world of Jak and Bil!

Comic books

Jak is a globe-trotting photographer. He always travels with his friend Bil, a bird who, surprisingly, can talk. Traveling around the world, they find themselves involved in multiple adventures: searching for ancient treasures, rescuing animals, collaborating with scientists, dismantling insidious plots, helping to catch bad guys… Along the way, our heroes discover countries, learn about their cultures and traditions and make new friends. These stories are overflowing with action, humour, fantasy and sometimes even magic… There are also, in simple words, reflections on current topics such as ecology, biodiversity, energies and their transition, safety…
